Inside the Crafted Catering Tasting Showcase at Canfield Casino

On November 21, 2025, Crafted Catering and Events hosted a tasting showcase at the Canfield Casino, and it was exactly what we love about bringing people together around food. Thoughtful menus. Seasonal ingredients. A fun atmosphere. And a chance for couples, clients, and vendor partners to experience Crafted in a way that feels real and approachable. Plus, music and entertainment, thanks to DJ Nick Maddalone.

This wasn’t about rushing through bites or checking boxes. It was about showcasing how food fits into the bigger picture of a wedding or event. From specialty cocktails to composed plates, the evening highlighted how Crafted builds menus that feel intentional, elevated, and enjoyable from start to finish.

The energy in the room said it all. Our team was having fun. Couples were asking great questions. Vendors were connecting. And the food spoke for itself.

A Seasonal Menu Designed to Be Experienced

The tasting showcase featured a wide range of seasonal menu items that reflected how Crafted approaches weddings and events year round. Guests were able to sample dishes designed for cocktail hour, dinner service, and late night moments, along with specialty cocktails that showed just how much care goes into beverage planning as well.

This was not a highlight reel of trends. It was a realistic look at what guests actually experience on wedding day. How flavors balance. How menus flow. How food feels when it’s served in a beautiful space with good energy.

For couples, it offered a chance to picture their own day more clearly. For vendors, it was a great opportunity to see how Crafted collaborates and executes in a live setting.

What Is a Tasting Showcase?

A tasting showcase is designed to give couples a broad, immersive look at a caterer’s style.

At a Crafted tasting showcase, you can expect:
• A curated selection of seasonal menu items
• Samples across multiple courses and styles
• Specialty cocktails and beverage ideas
• A chance to meet the culinary and event team
• An opportunity to see how food fits into the overall guest experience

It’s not about finalizing every detail. It’s about understanding how Crafted cooks, presents, and thinks about food and service.

This type of event is especially helpful for couples who are early in the planning process or who want to experience a range of options before narrowing things down.

What Happens at a Private Tasting?

Private tastings are more focused and one on one.

Once a couple has booked with Crafted or is further along in planning, a private tasting allows for deeper conversation and customization. The menu is tailored to the couple’s vision, guest count, and event style.

At a private tasting, couples can expect:
• A personalized menu based on their event
• Time to discuss preferences, allergies, and flow
• Feedback and adjustments with the culinary team
• Guidance on portioning, service style, and timing

Private tastings are collaborative. They’re about refinement, confidence, and making sure everything feels just right.

Why Both Experiences Matter

Both tasting formats serve a purpose.

A tasting showcase gives couples inspiration and clarity. It helps answer the question, “Is this the right fit for us?”

A private tasting builds trust and fine tunes the details. It answers the question, “How does this come together for our specific day?”

At Crafted, both experiences are designed to feel relaxed, informative, and supportive. No pressure. No overwhelm. Just good food and honest conversation.

A Team That Makes It Feel Easy

One of the best parts of the evening was the energy from the Crafted team. Events like this take planning, coordination, and a lot of moving parts, but the vibe stayed light and fun.

That matters. Because the way a team works together behind the scenes shows up on event day. Guests feel it. Couples feel it. Vendors feel it.

This tasting showcase was a great reminder that great food is only part of the equation. The people delivering it matter just as much.

Looking Ahead

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us at the Canfield Casino and helped make the night feel special. Whether you’re a couple just starting to plan, a client returning for another event, or a vendor partner, these gatherings are one of our favorite ways to connect.

Private tastings are now being scheduled for couples planning upcoming weddings and events. If you’re curious about what a Crafted menu could look like for your day, we’d love to continue the conversation.

Good food brings people together.
We’re lucky to do that work every day.
